Portable Apps Won't Open In Restricted Account

Posted by Melissa Earp at November 08. 2008
I added Firefox 3 Portable and Adium Portable on my flash drive on an eMac that has no restrictions. When I try to open either of them on the eMac at school that has restrictions on the student account, I am unable to open them. It says: "You do not have permission to open the application ___." Is there a way to open these portable applications in a restricted account?

No, there is not. On a restricted account you can't open any applications that your admin don't permit you. This is a feature of OS X Parental Control System preferences.
