i work in a graphics house w/multiple mac work stations. all stations run the same versions of OS and software and should be duplicates of each other... as we all have to jump from station to station and move projects on a regular basis. i run portable adium from a lacie rugged drive and it's worked great on almost all the stations, except one.

on this one particular station, when i open portable adium i get this message: "An error occour while opening portable preferences. Now quit." i can not get around the fact that i HAVE to work on this computer... sometimes for days at a time.

can anyone tell me what is going on and how to try to fix it? THANK YOU!!!

Try to copy your Portable Adium on the desktop of your station and see if it work. If yes should be a problem related to your lacie drive with that station.

Also check your file permission on that drive with that station.
