Greetings:

In a nutshell, if possible, I want to turn AbiWord 2.2.11 portable since that version is FAR less buggy and unreadable than 2.4+. I'm willing to do the Package Contents thing and tinker with scripts via TextWrangler if needed. Any hints would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Copy your AbiWord 2.2.11 inside Portable Abiword package (Ctrl+clik->Open Packege contetns and then go to folder Contents/Resources/app/AbiWord.app). It should work.
