NeoOffice.org is pleased to announce the release of NeoOffice 3.0. NeoOffice 3.0 is available for all users from the NeoOffice download page. NeoOffice is a full-featured set of office applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing, and database programs) for Mac OS X. Based on the OpenOffice.org office suite, NeoOffice has integrated dozens of native Mac features and can import, edit, and exchange files with other popular office programs such as Microsoft Office. NeoOffice is one of the most stable office suites for Mac OS X. We have created an office suite that is adapted to the unique needs of Mac users by taking the features in Sun Microsystems' OpenOffice.org office suite and adding improvements such as:

• Fast, free, and friendly support for all users
• Extremely stable Mac OS X code that has been in daily use by hundreds of thousands of NeoOffice users since 2003
• Significant speed improvements to the OpenOffice.org code
• Dozens of features requested by our users designed specifically for the Mac

NeoOffice 3.0 includes nearly all of the features in OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 and includes many of the most commonly used features in Microsoft Office. The only OpenOffice.org feature that is missing from NeoOffice 3.0 is Mac OS X Universal Access support. Unfortunately, we have not been able integrate OpenOffice.org's Universal Access code into NeoOffice so if you need Universal Access support, we recommend that you use OpenOffice.org, Microsoft Office, or Apple iWork. Below is a list of some of the Mac OS X features requested by our users that are in NeoOffice 3.0 but are not in OpenOffice.org 3.0.1:

• Mac OS X Services support
• Media Browser support
• Native floating tool windows
• Magnify and swipe trackpad gestures
• Menus available when no documents are open
• Import images from scanners and cameras
• Command-clicking on window titlebar
• Mac OS X Leopard grammar checking support (Mac OS X 10.5.x only)
