Portable OpenOffice.org OS X is the complete OpenOffice.org office suite - word processor, spreadsheet, presentation tool, drawing package and database - packaged as portable application so you can carry around with you on any portable device, USB thumb drive, iPod, portable hard drive, memory card, other portable device (also on your internal hard disk) as long as it has 430 MB of free space and use on any Mac OS X computer, taking yall your documents and everything you need with you.

  Stable: OOo 2.0.1rc5 en-Us. PPC only.

• PortableOOo2.0.1_r1.0_OpenerOnly.dmg (396K)
  Opener only, you can add OOo 2.0.1 in your language.
  This is compatible only with OOo 2.0.1.

OOo 2.0.2 PPC and Intel - Testing only*

• PortableOOo2.0.2rc4-OSX-PPC_en-US_r1.0.dmg (134.5M)
  Non-qa'ed Community Builds: OOo 2.0.2rc4 PPC only.

• PortableOOo2.0.2rc4-OSX-Intel_en-US_r1.0.dmg (123.6M)
  Non-qa'ed Community Builds: OOo 2.0.2rc4 Intel only.

*) These OOo 2.0.2 build are provided for testing purpose only! Please don't use them in a production environment. However, don't hesitate to try, play with, test them and provide feedback on our list. Be aware that there is an Intel and a PPC version so don't mix them up ;-)

Get the right OpenerOnly and then download OpenOffice.org in your language from:
OOo2.0.1rc5 - Stable

OOo 2.0.2rc4 - Testing only

• ftp://ooopackages.good-day.net/pub/OpenOffice.org/MacOSX/2.0.2rc4

and copy it to "app" folder.

How to install

1. Drag "P_OOo2.0.X" folder to your portable device, USB thumb drive, iPod, portable hard drive, memory card, other portable device (also to your internal hard disk) as long as it has 430 MB of free space.
2. Clicking "Portable OpenOffice.org 2.0.X" will open OpenOffice.org  from your portable device, wait a while before OpenOffice.org 2.0 start.
3. If a local copy of OpenOffice.org 2.0 is running an alert window allow you to quit it.

Using your data

You can copy your user preferences folder to Portable OpenOffice.org 2.0 when "Copy preferences" window ask you. So, if you wish to use your preferences you already have on your system, just click "Yes" when prompt.

OpenOffice.org 2.0.1 preference folder is inside the folder:
"app/Home/openoffice.org2"

OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 preference folder is inside the folder:
"app/Library/Application Support/OpenOffice 2.0"

Portable OpenOffice.org 2.0.1.app is packaged using the Platypus script wrapper from http://sveinbjorn.vefsyn.is/platypus

Know issues

Complete path to "P_OOo2.0.X" folder can't be longer than 48 characters.
Portable OOo 2.0.1 is not compatible with Portable OOo 2.0.2.
