NeoOffice/J is a fully-featured set of office applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and drawing programs) for Mac OS X. Based on the OpenOffice.org office suite, NeoOffice/J has integrated dozens of native Mac features and can import, edit, and exchange files with other popular office programs such as Microsoft^TM Office.

Released as free, open-source software under the GNU General Public License (GPL), NeoOffice/J is fully functional and stable enough for everyday use. The software is actively developed, so improvements and small updates are made available on a regular basis.

1 February 2006: NeoOffice 1.2 is released. This release now includes all of the features in the NeoOffice 1.2 Beta release plus fixes for many of the bugs found by users. NeoOffice 1.2 can be downloaded here.

2 January 2006: NeoOffice 1.2 Beta is released. This release now includes all of the features in the NeoOffice 1.2 Alpha release plus fixes for many of the bugs found by users. NeoOffice 1.2 Beta can be downloaded here.

23 November 2005: NeoOffice 1.2 Alpha is released. This release now uses Apple's more stable Java 1.4.x release instead of the Apple's older, less stable Java 1.3.1 release. Also, since Sun's recent OpenOffice.org 2.0 release supports the new Open Document file formats, this release is based on the OpenOffice 1.1.5 code which gives NeoOffice the ability to import Open Document files.

22 June 2005: NeoOffice/J 1.1 is released. This release, which is the first official release of NeoOffice/J, includes all of the features in the NeoOffice/J 1.1 Release Candidate release plus many bug fixes. NeoOffice/J 1.1 can be downloaded here.

30 March 2005: NeoOffice/J 1.1 Release Candidate is released. With this release, NeoOffice/J now supports all features in OpenOffice.org 1.1.4 including drag-and-drop between NeoOffice/J and other applications.

21 December 2004: NeoOffice/J 1.1 Beta is released. With this release, NeoOffice/J now supports all features in OpenOffice.org 1.1.3 including mouse wheel and drag-and-drop support.
